United Nations Development Programme
The global energy architecture stands at a critical juncture between the urgent necessity of decarbonization and the realities of modern economic dependencies. While the transition to sustainable energy sources is vital to combating climate change, uneven infrastructural development and volatile geopolitical supply chains threaten to exacerbate energy poverty across developing nations. Achieving the targets of affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy requires a complete recalibration of global trade dynamics and financial frameworks. The structural barriers preventing the equitable distribution of green technology and capital must be addressed with urgency. The outcomes formulated here will dictate whether the green transition becomes a universal reality or a privilege reserved for the few.
